Located in the core area of the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone and situated near the airport expressway, the Park of Wangzui Lake has four subway lines connecting to the city. With convenient transportation and a beautiful environment, it is an urban jewel that represents the high-tech zone and the crown of the city's sub-center. The area plays a significant role in enhancing the influence of high-tech zones. 

Originally a second-class reservoir, Wangzui Lake has an urban flood control function. The land is high in the north and low in the south, and the current vast water area is about 56 hectares. The government is focusing on building an urban sub-center integrated with residences, offices, shopping centers and entertainment facilities around Wangzui Lake. Currently the projects that have been developed and planned include the Institute of Quantum Information and Quantum Technology Innovation, the Institute of Advanced Technology and the High-tech campus of the University of Science and Technology of China, and the International Talent City, all of which are or will be well-equipped with various supporting facilities.
