Yutron Technology Co signed an agreement on Dec 16 to establish its headquarters and six other major projects in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the zone's automotive supply chain.
Yutron Technology, a primary entity overseeing Dongfeng Motor's components business, is focused on accelerating electrification and intelligent transformation.
WEDZ, which hosts Dongfeng Motor's headquarters, has prioritized the components industry alongside vehicle development. This strategy has improved parts-to-vehicle ratio and established a comprehensive automotive industrial system with diverse applications.
"WEDZ offers a complete automotive industrial ecosystem, a robust industrial foundation, and a favorable business environment, making it a vital hub for automotive industry innovation and development," said You Zheng, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Motor.
He highlighted that the collaboration between WEDZ and Dongfeng Motor will utilize their complementary strengths and resources to drive the automotive industry toward higher quality and resilience.
Liu Ziqing, Party secretary of the WEDZ administrative committee, noted that these projects represent a critical step in extending, supplementing, and strengthening the zone’s automotive industrial chain. He also assured that authorities will provide optimal policies, services, and environments to ensure the successful fruition of these cooperative projects.
