Wuhan will host the 2024 Intelligent Vehicle and Digital Technology Cooperation Conference on Nov 27, a key event of the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing.

The conference will focus on Wuhan's leading industries, which include intelligent vehicles, digital technology, and optoelectronic information.

It will bring together representatives from Fortune 500 companies, large multinational corporations, industry leaders, tech innovators, and business associations. The goal is to foster extensive cooperation between Wuhan and domestic and international upstream and downstream industry chain enterprises.

Wuhan, known as the "City of Autonomous Driving", is making bold strides with its robust capabilities and forward-thinking strategies. It has undertaken several significant projects related to autonomous driving, including the "Integrated Vehicle-Road-Cloud Application Pilot" and the coordinated development of smart city infrastructure and intelligent connected vehicles.

As the first city in China to issue commercial pilot licenses for intelligent connected vehicles, Wuhan had opened a total of 3,378.73 kilometers of test roads (one-way mileage) across 12 districts as of the end of 2023, ranking first in the country for both mileage and the number of open areas.

Wuhan boasts the country's largest, best-performing network and the most comprehensive 5G vehicle-to-everything (V2X) network. It has also built the largest vehicle-road collaborative application system involving social vehicles and created the most diverse vehicle-populated autonomous driving and intelligent connected vehicle demonstration zone.

Wuhan has attracted numerous upstream and downstream enterprises in the intelligent connected vehicle industry chain, including ECARX, SiEngine, and Huali Smartways Technology. These companies have established operations in the city and contributed to developing the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone's intelligent connected and electric vehicle industrial park.
