Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) recently unveiled its college undergraduates' practical training base for environmental disciplines at the Wuhan Tianyuan Environmental Protection Co – a listed company based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
This is the first time that HUST has chosen to establish a base in WEDZ.
The company inked cooperation contracts with HUST's School of Energy and Power Engineering and School of Environmental Science and Engineering, respectively, to jointly cultivate high-end environmental protection talents with rich experience, according to Huang Zhaowei, president of Wuhan Tianyuan Environmental Protection Co.
The university will soon build postdoctoral research stations and research centers at the firm, and prioritize the firm's talent demand.
WEDZ strives to integrate industry education in its Zhuankou, Junshan, Shamao, and Xianghong areas.
