The incremental launching of the main bridge at Zuo'an Avenue (Changhe section) was carried out successfully on July 15 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

The main bridge is 210 meters long and 32 m wide and is estimated to shorten the driving period from Junshan New city to Wuhan's main urban areas from 40 to 20 minutes. The Changhe section of Zuo'an Avenue starts from Wanjia Hunan Road and ends at Xiaojun Mountain, with a total length of 6,540 meters and six lanes in two ways. The designed driving speed of the section is 60 kilometers per hour.

"The Changhe section is a crucial road connecting Junshan New City with the main urban areas of Wuhan. We strive to open the road to the public in the first half of 2024," said a road construction project manager.

The Jingkai section of Zuo'an Avenue has a length of 50 km and is the third main road for the zone to reach Wuhan's main urban areas, after the Dongfeng and Jiangcheng avenues. The section is expected to address further the weak links of the zone in infrastructure and city functions when completed.
