The Third Auto Valley Entrepreneur Salon was held on Sept 16 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
Representatives of more than 20 local biomedicine enterprises were invited to discuss WEDZ's future biomedicine development directions.
The zone is home to a group of domestic leading companies in this field, with most of them listed. Wuhan Hiteck Biopharmaceutical Co mainly deals with the production and sale of bioengineering products and freeze-dried powder injection. Chen Ya, president of the company, suggested that WEDZ should bring in more medical research institutions and invite experts and academicians in the area to discuss gradually improving the zone's innovative capacity in biomedicine.
Liu Yongmei, vice general manager of Wuhan Tongji Modern Pharmaceutical Technology Co, said that the company will relocate high-quality medical resources, polish its own brands, and facilitate the biomedicine development of the zone. The firm is reportedly focusing on the industrialization of medical technology and has formed an industrial chain with core competence. It was among the first group of national specialized and new little giant companies.
In the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the zone will build a 15-minute urban-rural medical service circle by cultivating and recruiting medical talent and further completing its existing healthcare system.
