There was plenty of excitement in the AEOLUS China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival 2019 which came to a close in Wuhan, capital city of Central China’s Hubei province on Dec 15, according to a report in the Hubei Daily.
The four-day event attracted an audience of more than 100,000, the organizers said.
It featured a total of 42 competitions, with more than 230 racing drivers from over 30 countries and regions -- including the US, the UK, France and Japan -- participating.
A total of 17 individual championships and 13 team championships were won.
The festival, which is the biggest and most comprehensive event in the automobile and motorcycle sports industry in China, had five competition categories.
They were the China Drift Championship, the China Endurance Championship, China Touring Car Championship, China Truck Racing Championship and the China Esports Racing Championship.
Compared with its first season, this year’s festival contained more interactive activities and artistic performances, the organizers said.
Themed experience zones including a racing experience zone, a dynamic equipment experience zone, a real AR racing experience zone and a FIA e-sports experience zone were set up during the event.
