The third China Industrial Design Exhibition -- with the theme “Design Innovation, Green Development” -- opened in Wuhan, capital of central Hubei province on Dec 13, according to local media reports.
This year's exhibition features more than 120 national-level industrial design centers and a large number of provincial-level centers.
The organizers said the exhibition is expected to bring together many well-known domestic design works.
Exhibitors include well-known industrial design companies such as LKK, Artop, Feish, R&D Design and S.Point -- as well as industrial design centers for manufacturing companies such as CRRC, XCMG and BAIC.
The exhibition area is around 33,000 square meters. A total of 592 exhibitors are taking part in the event, setting new record.
In addition, guests and design companies from the United States, Germany, Japan, Austria and other countries are participating.
The organizers said that during the event, there will be a variety of activities including an opening ceremony, summit forums and industrial design competitions.
Wuhan has been making efforts in promoting its industrial design industry, with some 2,000 industrial design or product design companies having settled in the city so far.
It is the third consecutive year that Wuhan has hosted the industrial design exhibition since 2017.
This year's China Industrial Design Exhibition is expected to see the signing of more industrial design projects, which will further enhance the development of the industrial design industry in the city.
