The AEOLUS China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival 2019 is set to kick off on Dec 12 at Wuhan Sports Center located in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, according to local media reports.
The four-day WHDZ event is the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the automobile and motorcycle sports industry in China.
It will have three major sections: automobile and motorcycle events, automobile and motorcycle performances and cultural activities.
A total of five competition categories will be included. These are the China Drift Championship, China Endurance Championship, China Touring Car Championship, China Truck Racing Championship and China Esports Racing Championship.
The first category, as China's national professional car drifting professional competition event, combines competitiveness and excitement, which challenges the driving limit and has a very high viewing value, the organizers said.
The second category is China's first highest level endurance race. In terms of participating models, world-class luxury sports cars such as Lamborghini’s Huracan, Mercedes-Benz’s AMG-GT3, Porsche’s 911 will take part in the event, as well as regular production models.
As one of China’s top-level auto track races, the China Touring Car Championship is equipped with the latest in technology for domestic cars and driven by top domestic and foreign drivers.
The China Truck Racing Championship, meanwhile, is a world-class high-level truck sports event held in China. Large trucks will make their appearance on the streets of Wuhan. The streets are narrow and undulating and there are many curves, which are full of thrills and excitement, the organizers said.
Finally, the China Esports Racing Championship is said to be one of the most influential esports racing events in China, hosted by Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China.
Organizers said experience zones will be set up during the event, including a racing experience zone, a dynamic equipment experience zone, a real AR racing experience zone and a FIA e-sports experience zone.
