A total of 14 people in Wuhan, capital city of Central China’s Hubei province, won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars with their projects, according to cjn.cn reports.
The wining projects included Huazhong University of Science and Technology’s Noise Research in Precision Gravitational Experiments, and Tumor Molecular Epidemiology Project.
Others included Huazhong Agricultural University’s Animal Molecular Nutriology Project and Wuhan University’s Inner Magnetosphere – Ionized Layer Coupling Project.
The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, founded in 1994, is a national-level fund aimed at promoting the growth of young scientific and technical talent.
It also aims to encourage overseas scholars to return to China for work, as well as aiming to accelerate the cultivation of a number of outstanding academic leaders who have entered the forefront of science and technology globally.
