On Nov 7, eight teams from across China competed at the 2019 National Synchronized Swimming Championship opening, in the hope of winning an opportunity to participate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, according to Changjiang Daily.
The three-day synchronized swimming championship is the first sports event to be hosted by the city in the wake of the 7th CISM Military World Games. A total of 10 competition categories are scheduled to take place, among which include duets, solos and team events.
It is expected two competitions will take place each day, which commence at 10:00 am and 19:00pm respectively.

Hosted by the Swimming Management Center of the General Administration of Sports of China, it is believed that the National Synchronized Swimming Championship is the most prestigious and highest level of swimming events in China.
