A total of 4,130 journalists and reporters from a large number countries -- including China, Russia, Brazil and Germany -- will give full media coverage to the opening ceremony and following sports events of the 7th CISM Military World Games, a new conference was told on Oct 10.
The 7th CISM Military World Games will be held in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province, on Oct 18-27.
The Main Press Center, or MPC, will be the working headquarters for the media reporters and broadcasters during the event. It is located on the first and second floors of the main media center building, with a construction area of 11,000 square meters.
Officials said its facilities will help the media from all over the world provide comprehensive coverage of the event and the host city.
The MPC will provide a main news center service desk for all registered media for information consultation, data distribution, interview appointments and other related services.
Officials said it can also provide a media workshop on related services such as information consultations, data distribution, photocopying and free rentals of lockers for registered media.
The press room of the MPC can accommodate 210 people and provides equipment and fixtures, audio equipment, voice control equipment, lighting equipment and interpreter services required for press conferences.
Based on the development of the media and 5G technology, the MPC will also utilize a comprehensive range of new technologies, new productions and new communications modes for the mainstream media.
Officials said that Chinese news agency Xinhua, for example, will launch a full-scale live 5G video broadcast during the event and launch the world's first AI news anchor.
