2019 World Fly-in Expo opens in Wuhan

The 2019 World Fly-in Expo (WFE) opened at the Hannan General Aviation Airport in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, on May 18, and will run until May 21.

The four-day event is co-hosted by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, the Aero Sports Federation of China, the government of Wuhan, and the Hubei Administration of Sports.

Following the opening ceremony, a series of activities including aerobatic flights, hot air balloon displays, and parachuting performances were held at the airport.

The event is divided into five sections and consists of 23 activities, including seven aerobatic flights, two aviation competitions, eight experiential activities, two exhibitions, and four forums.

A total of 560 aircraft are present at the expo, of which 260 are performing flights, 200 are participating in competitions, and 100 are on display.

Aviation enthusiasts also have the opportunity to experience simulated flights, wind tunnels, and mock aircraft cabins.
