Intl symposium on Yangmingism held in Guiyang

Numerous scholars of Wang Yangming's philosophy and experts in international communication gathered for an academic symposium on the international dissemination of Yangmingism that was held on Dec 11 at the Confucius Academy in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

They shared their insights and the latest developments in their respective research areas, enhancing understanding, building consensus, and deepening cooperation through academic collaboration and cultural exchanges.

The 2023 "Yearbook of Wang Yangming Studies," guided by the International Confucian Association and edited by the Advanced Institute of Confucian Studies at the Guiyang Confucius Academy, was released at the symposium.

It categorizes, summarizes, and analyzes the annual achievements in Wang Yangming studies from different disciplines and key figures, providing a comprehensive and detailed reference for researchers and enthusiasts.

As the birthplace of Yangmingism and the place where Wang Yangming studied and attained enlightenment, Guizhou has been making frequent and notable efforts in recent years to promote the global dissemination of Yangmingism.

Guizhou has taken on the historical responsibility of inheriting and spreading Yangming culture, building exchange platforms, and promoting the stories of Wang Yangming.
