Guizhou shines at 2024 World Travel Market

Southwest China's Guizhou province held a culture and tourism sharing session while participating in the 2024 World Travel Market (WTM), which recently concluded in London.

Navigator International Travel Service (Guizhou) Co represented Guizhou at the sharing session and introduced the province’s tourism resources, development achievements, and products tailored to the European market.

Guizhou boasts numerous world-class natural treasures. It is the province with the most UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites in China and is known as the "world bridge museum" and an "outdoor sports paradise".

Rong Xiaoxiao, founder and CEO of Navigator International Travel Service (Guizhou) Co, mentioned the nearly 200-year-old boat racing tradition between Oxford University and Cambridge University. Meanwhile, every year, dragon boat racing is the grandest traditional sports event in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Guizhou.

Through the two races, Guizhou will help its outdoor sports go global and seek cooperation opportunities with the United Kingdom. At the sharing session, various European tourism professionals showed interest in Guizhou and intended to promote culture and tourism cooperation between the two regions.

Guizhou also introduced guests to the world's largest single-dish radio telescope, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST). Thanks to FAST, international exchanges, such as research and study projects, can be conducted.

Guizhou will collaborate with UK schools to develop exchange programs suitable for British students, realizing a "two-way journey" between Guizhou and Britain.

The WTM is one of the world's largest and most influential professional tourism exhibitions, with significant international influence. Every year, it attracts tens of thousands of buyers and professionals worldwide.
