Final of 2023 Colorful Guizhou Singing Contest kicks off in Guiyang

The final of the 2023 Colorful Guizhou Singing Contest is being held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Oct 23 to 27 at the Beijinglu Grand Theatre in Guiyang.

After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, the 50 teams that have qualified for the final of the 2023 Colorful Guizhou Singing Contest will gather in Guiyang to compete.

Over the course of five days, the final will be divided into five categories: folk style singing, bel vanto, original singing, pop, and chorus.

The winning teams in each category will be selected. The tickets of the final are available online.

The final will adopt a scoring mechanism wherein a group of expert judges collectively evaluate and rank the performances to determine the winners in the five categories. The final awards will include one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, four excellent prizes, and seven organization prizes.

The 2023 Colorful Guizhou Singing Contest kicked off in July, with 13 regional competitions and nearly 100,000 participants. After a semi-final in Qianxi city, 50 teams qualified for the final.

As one of the main activities of the 2023 Colorful Guizhou Cultural and Arts Festival, the semi-final of the 2023 Colorful Guizhou Singing Contest aims to enhance the "colorful Guizhou" cultural brand, enrich the cultural lives of the people, and promote the development of the culture and art industries.
