Guizhou unveils new regional medical center

To provide convenient high-quality medical services for locals, the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University and Qiandongnan People's Hospital in Southwest China's Guizhou province held a provincial regional medical center cooperation signing and unveiling ceremony on June 28.

At the ceremony, both hospitals signed the construction plan for the Qiandongnan branch hospital of the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University and unveiled the new hospital's signboard.

The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University will take this cooperation as an opportunity to create a high-level medical technology center, enhance overall medical service and research capabilities, and promote a tiered diagnosis and treatment system in the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture.

Yang Yongling, secretary of the Party committee of Qiandongnan People's Hospital, stated at the ceremony that the hospital will rely on the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University's high-quality medical resources to strengthen the development of strong disciplines and key specialties.

It will also increase efforts to attract and train medical talent and strive to develop the Qiandongnan branch hospital into an excellent model for the construction of Guizhou's provincial regional medical centers.

Li Haiyang, secretary of the Party committee of the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University, said that the cooperation to jointly build a provincial regional medical center is an effective way to promote the balanced development of regional medical care, create a regional hub for high-quality medical services and medical research, establish a talent training center, and reduce the outflow rate of key diseases in the region.

It is also a great way to promote the high-quality development of the healthcare industry in Qiandongnan.
