Guizhou Zunyi International Chili Expo to kick off

The seventh Guizhou Zunyi International Chili Expo will be held in Zunyi's Xinpu New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 27-29.

This year's expo will include an investment attraction and signing event for the chili industry, awards for the world's chili featured towns, Guizhou's top 10 towns in terms of the chili industry, Guizhou's top 10 chili dealers, and Guizhou's top 10 pickled chili brands.

The expo will set up a large exhibition area to showcase chili seeds, chili products, packages, and machines for companies.

Before the expo, Zunyi will hold various activities to promote chili foods and issue 600,000 yuan ($87,426.38) in coupons to stimulate consumption.

Home to the China Chili City, which is a distribution center for chili peppers, Zunyi has successfully held the expo for six years. This year, the expo will invite expert teams from China's agricultural product market and hold a forum focusing on the high-quality development of the chili industry.

The annual expo has helped promote Guizhou's production of chili products and enhanced Zunyi's position as a world-class chili processing and trading base.
