According to a news conference on Jan 20, Southwest China's Guizhou province achieved 1.96 trillion yuan ($308.77 billion) in GDP in 2021, an increase of 8.1 percent over 2020 and 13 percent over 2019.
In 2021, the added value of Guizhou's primary industry was 273.09 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7 percent year-on-year; the added value of secondary industry was 698.47 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4 percent year-on-year; and the added value of tertiary industry was 987.08 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3 percent.
Last year, the total output value of Guizhou’s agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery industries was 469.20 billion yuan, an increase of 9.2 percent year-on-year; the added value of industries above a designated size increased by 12.9 percent year-on-year; and the added value of the service industry increased by 7.3 percent year-on-year.
Guizhou's fixed-asset investment decreased by 3.1 percent in 2021 compared with 2020, and the total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 13.7 percent over 2020.
In 2021, the total value of Guizhou's imports and exports was 65.42 billion yuan, an increase of 19.7 percent year-on-year. Imports were valued at 16.71 billion yuan, increasing by 44.6 percent year-on-year, and exports were valued at 48.71 billion yuan, increasing by 13 percent year-on-year.
Guizhou's general financial revenue was 341.65 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of 10.9 percent year-on-year, and the revenue in the general public budgets was 196.95 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2 percent year-on-year.
In the same year, 647,500 people found jobs in Guizhou's urban area, an increase of 5 percent year-on-year, and the per capita disposable income of Guizhou's permanent residents was 23,996 yuan, a nominal year-on-year growth of 10.1 percent.
Guizhou's consumer prices in 2021 increased by 0.1 percent over 2020, the producer price of industrial products increased by 6.5 percent year-on-year, and the purchase price of industrial producers increased by 12 percent year-on-year.
