Since the beginning of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province has laid a solid foundation for tourism industrialization development by screening and implementing 995 projects with an investment of more than 5 million yuan ($782,863) each.
During the first 10 months of this year, Guizhou invested 88.79 billion yuan in these projects, which was 88.79 percent of the annual target.
According to the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), Guizhou's cities and prefectures have planned various cultural tourism projects such as scenic spots, culture-business-tourism complexes, hot springs, health preservation, vacations, entertainment, tourism equipment manufacturing, rural tourism, and public tourism services.
Meanwhile, Guizhou has coordinated and signed cooperation agreements with more than 800 cultural tourism companies in China. By the end of October, Guizhou signed 778 cultural tourism projects with a contract value of 263.29 billion yuan, and 64.3 billion yuan of which has already been invested.
Guizhou also planned cultural tourism activities for the winter season, such as hot spring tourism, skiing festivals, and a seasonal shopping event, and has offered travel guides such as self-driving, high-speed railway and airplane routes to tourists while following the strict pandemic prevention and control requirements.
Guizhou's scenic spots, homestays, hotels, hot springs and ski resorts will also offer discounts according to the season.
