Guizhou Tea Industry Expo to commence in Zunyi

The 13th Guizhou Tea Industry Expo will be held on April 18-20 in Meitan county, Zunyi, in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The expo aims to showcase Guizhou's tea-development achievements, help boost marketing of its tea brands, promote new varieties, technologies, equipment and business models for the tea industry, publicize tea culture and facilitate business cooperation.

This year's expo will include an opening ceremony, an investment attraction event, exhibitions and visits to tea and tourism integration projects.

The opening ceremony will reveal the selection results for the top 10 events of Guizhou's tea industry. The selection panel received 90 candidate events after the contest launched on March 12.

During the five-day voting period, the contest webpage had 108 million page views and received 39.42 million votes.

The expo has invited about 1,000 representatives from 20 tea wholesale markets, business organizations and tea companies from main consumer areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Sichuan, Fujian, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shandong.
