Guizhou simplifies government affairs procedures

Southwest China's Guizhou province officially started "one-window" application for government affairs on Nov 30 to improve government work efficiency and provide convenient services for companies and individuals.

All the comprehensive government affairs service centers set six service areas for human resources, social and medical insurances, opening a business, science, education, culture and health, social affairs, engineering construction, agriculture, forestry and water transportation.

Thirty-four application windows and special windows are present in each of the service areas for other complicated or private affairs.

When applying, companies and individuals only have to hand in application materials at the windows, saving trips between different government departments.

So far, 1,398 government affair items from 40 government departments can be handled at one window with one application.
