Guizhou releases measures to support export-oriented commodities

Southwest China's Guizhou province has launched measures to support local foreign-trade companies selling export-oriented commodities – aiming to reduce the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on foreign trade.

One of the measures calls for supporting foreign-trade companies to carry out online and offline promotional events, and allow large commercial enterprises to purchase directly from Guizhou-based foreign-trade companies.

For companies with actual import or export businesses last year, Guizhou will provide subsidies to cover booth fees at domestic exhibitions and help cover the cost of quality management system certifications.

Financial institutions will allow foreign-trade businesses to pledge receivable accounts, inventory, machines and equipment, warehouse receipts and orders when applying for loans.

Guizhou requires all cities and prefectures to organize commodities being sold at home based on the construction needs of new infrastructure, urbanization projects and other major developments.

The provincial government is also encouraging administrative departments, enterprises and public institutions to prioritize the purchase of export-oriented commodities.
