The Wuhan Future Low-Altitude Economy Research Institute and the World Drone Conference – Central China Low-Altitude Economy and Drone Innovation Base were unveiled during the conference. An expansion ceremony for the research institute's think tank experts was also held, bringing the number of think tank experts to over 50.

"Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are transitioning to the 'well-utilized' stage, moving the low-altitude economy toward becoming a one-trillion-yuan ($137.67 billion) industry cluster," noted Xiang Jinwu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He highlighted that with the deep integration of 5G, artificial intelligence, and UAV technology, low-altitude applications in urban management, logistics, and emergency rescue will experience explosive growth.

OVC recently completed a successful simultaneous flight operation with 100 drones. These drones took off from 100 locations and executed tasks according to preset flight paths, marking OVC's advancements in drone quantity, platform data services, and automated scheduling capabilities.

OVC is home to 80 percent of Wuhan's UAV research, production, sales, training, and service enterprises, including well-known companies such as E-Hawk Technology and research institutions like Luojia Laboratory.

OVC will continue to increase investment and support in the low-altitude economy sector, attracting more high-quality enterprises and talent from China and the rest of the world to drive high-quality development.
