Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), which stunningly appeared during the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, has quickly gained international attention during this Spring Festival holiday. It has attracted tourists from around the world and set new records across various metrics.

The Optics Valley Square light show, which opened the Spring Festival Gala, attracted many visitors and online viewers. Over 500,000 viewers watched the light show via the Douyin live stream, with many commenting, "It's so cool. I must visit OVC in person."

The OVC Shijiecheng Pedestrian Street received 1.16 million visits, a 48 percent increase from the previous year. The number of night tour visits reached 623,000, a 65-percent increase year over year.

The Guanggu Suspended Monorail, a must-visit location featured in the Spring Festival Gala, attracted global tourists seeking a futuristic sightseeing experience. It welcomed 120,000 visits, a 32-percent increase from last year.

Hemand, from Mumbai, India, flew to Wuhan on Chinese New Year's Eve from Hanoi, Vietnam. "I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. The suspended monorail is more advanced than the subway, symbolizing Wuhan's technological prowess," he remarked.

Meanwhile, various OVC attractions experienced a peak in visitor numbers. Jiufeng Forest Zoo welcomed over 40,000 visits, Longquan Mountain Scenic Area received 32,000, and the Hubei Science and Technology Museum hosted nearly 50,000.
