The 2024 Donghu Forum will begin on Oct 19 in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

The event, which runs until Oct 21 at the China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center, aims to connect global wisdom through various activities, including an opening ceremony, main and parallel forums, tech innovation exchanges, and public science education.

The forum, themed "Nourishing the Soil for Popular Science and Igniting the Dreams of Science: Popular Science + Optical Electronic Information Technology", will feature keynote speeches from national tech award winners, astronauts, renowned scholars, and entrepreneurs. Over 800 attendees, including academicians, foreign experts, scholars, local officials, and industry representatives, will participate.

As a window for showcasing tech innovations and scientific exchanges, the forum will be attended by guests from nearly 20 North American, European, and African countries. It will also invite ITER representatives, Nobel laureates, foreign scientists, science communicators, consulate officials, and award-winning individuals.
