The Wuhan Computing Power Public Service Platform was officially launched on July 9, realizing city-level computing power coordination and scheduling.

During the launch ceremony, the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) and Wuhan Data Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement announcing the settlement of the platform in the OVC.

As the first city-level platform in Central China, the Wuhan Computing Power Public Service Platform will integrate computing resources across Wuhan and surrounding regions, and establish a resource supply pool and demand side database, so as to lower transaction costs and barriers for both computing power resource providers and users.

The platform has already connected with 14 computing power providers, offering 920,000 CPU cores of general computing resources, 86 P of super-computing resources and 4,226 P of smart computing resources. These computing power providers are mainly based in areas such as OVC.

Within the next five years, the platform is expected to reach 10,000 P of high-performance computing resources, attract 50 large model companies, and provide industry solutions for 1,000 enterprises, establishing a beacon for computing power industrial ecosystems in Central China.

In recent years, OVC has actively invested in computing power infrastructure, the cultivation of algorithm talent and other areas, aiming to develop a comprehensive computing power supply system.

OVC's computing power layout is currently among the best in China, with the Wuhan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center and the Wuhan Supercomputer Center jointly forming the nation's first diversified cloud service computing power cluster that integrates artificial intelligence and super-computing capabilities.
