Hubei's first 'AIGC New Media Laboratory' unveiled in Optics Valley
Hubei province's first "AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) New Media Laboratory", jointly established by the mainstream media, an artificial intelligence research institute, and a prestigious university, was recently unveiled in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

The lab, a collaborative effort between Hubei Media Group's Changjiangyun News, Wuhan AI Research, and the Wuhan Institute of Technology, aims to serve as an integrated platform for teaching and learning, practical training, creative production, and application and innovation. It will cultivate talent with new media creativity and practical abilities so as to promote the application and innovation of AIGC technology in the field of news media.
This year, the AIGC New Media Laboratory will hold a series of content production activities revolving around six AI-related themes – AI China, AI Campus, AI Life, AI Yangtze River, AI Charity, and AI Community, including summer AIGC practice sessions and AIGC high-quality creation classes, aiming to cultivate more talent with AIGC skills.

Liu Hao, a technical expert of the AIGC new media, said that the Wuhan AI Research focuses on cutting-edge research in cross-modal intelligence and is committed to becoming a beacon of AI innovation and industrial development.
Moving forward, the university, research institute, and media group will invest in nurturing more outstanding experts, scholars, creative media personnel, and technical personnel to promote the transformation and upgrading of mainstream media and realize the application of AI technological research achievements.
