Enterprises convene in Wuhan to discuss development of BeiDou industry
On March 20, the BeiDou Industry Ecology Cooperation Partner Conference was held in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as the Optics Valley of China, or OVC), Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.
More than 300 domestic BeiDou-related enterprises attended the conference to discuss the overall development of the industry, aiming to promote the construction of the BeiDou satellite network.
During the conference, 18 BeiDou-related enterprises from across the country, including ComNav, Haikang Zhilian, and Mengxin Tech, signed a cooperation agreement. They aim to explore in-depth cooperation in technological innovation, business, market expansion, and ecosystem integration.
"This is the largest BeiDou industrial event in Hubei province in recent years," said a person in charge of the conference.
Yu Xiancheng, president of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Location-Based Services (LBS) Association of China, stated that as one of the five major development regions for the national BeiDou industry, Hubei has the foundation, capability, and prospects to contribute more to the national strategic development of BeiDou technologies.
The Optics Valley of China is the core area for the development of the BeiDou industry in Hubei. Statistics show that in 2023, the scale of the BeiDou industry in OVC accounted for a significant portion of the entire province.
An official from the OVC stated that this conference will facilitate cooperation among participating enterprises, which will ultimately strengthen the advantages of the BeiDou industry in the OVC and even in Hubei.
