OVC enterprises showcase latest products at MWC Barcelona

The 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) was recently held in Barcelona, Spain. The event brought together global enterprises, experts, technologies, and services in the mobile communication industry. This event has become a crucial platform for technological development, business model innovation, and industry integration.
Approximately 300 Chinese enterprises collectively made appearances at the event, including China Information and Communication Technology Group (CICT), and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Co (YOFC) from the East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as the Optics Valley of China, or OVC.
CICT showcased its new achievements in smart optical networks, 5G-A and 6G innovation, all-optical access, marine networks, and industrial digitalization to its global clients and partners.
YOFC, under the theme "Connecting the Future with Fibre", presented five major thematic products and solutions, including advancing towards 5.5G, and a new hub for green computing power.

During the event, YOFC showcased products such as its OM4/OM4 Ultra bend-insensitive multimode optical fibers, special communication optical fibers, and comprehensive optical cable solutions.
In addition, the company signed an appointment agreement with Sir David Payne, the inventor of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA) and a knighted member of the Royal Society and the Royal Academy of Engineering in the United Kingdom. The company will be appointing him as the foreign director of the expert advisory committee for the Key National Laboratory for the Advanced Manufacturing and Application of Optical Fiber and Cable at YOFC.
