Following the launch of leading global products such as the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, TCL China Star (TCL CSOT) and Lenovo have made new progress. The two tech firms recently unveiled the Innovation Display Joint Lab in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC.

The two companies will focus on cutting-edge areas, such as OLED flexible displays, foldable displays, and will jointly develop frontier display technologies to expand the boundaries of the display industry.

The scope of cooperation between TCL CSOT and Lenovo has expanded to now include mobile phones and IT. They continue to break industrial barriers with leading technology and innovative products, all of which will enhance user experiences.

In 2023, Lenovo and TCL CSOT jointly developed a new foldable screen product, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. This foldable screen phone features a 3.6-inch full-cover external screen with high resolution, a high refresh rate, and a wide color gamut. It is also lightweight, thin, durable, and supports multi-angle suspension. Thanks to the outstanding performance of the Motorola Razr 40 series in the third quarter of last year, Motorola's shipments increased by an impressive 2135% year-on-year, securing the fifth position in global market share.

Since establishing itself in the OVC in 2013, Lenovo's Wuhan base has become the group's largest and most advanced global research and manufacturing base for mobile smart terminals, with a cumulative industrial output value of nearly 400 billion yuan ($55.72 billion) and an export value exceeding $42 billion.

As a leader in semiconductor displays, TCL CSOT has been investing in its Wuhan Base since 2008, with a total investment reaching 75.7 billion yuan. It is the first semiconductor display panel manufacturer in Hubei with an annual output value exceeding 10 billion yuan.
