The Wuhan New City Intercity Railway, also known as the Xincheng Express, officially commenced operation on Jan 24. It was mainly designed to boost connectivity between the cities of Wuhan, Ezhou, Huangshi and Huanggang.

With 25 scheduled daily trips, the railway's journey from Wuhan to Huangshi now takes only 30-42 minutes. Passengers can board the express by scanning QR codes, making travel as convenient as using the subway.

The new express includes stations such as Wuhan East Station, Daye North Station, Huangshi North Station, Huanggang West Station, and Ezhou Station. Wuhan East Station serves as the originating and core station for express. The earliest departure from Wuhan East to Huangshi North Station is at 6:38 am, and the earliest departure to Huanggang West Station is at 7:42 am.

Passengers can purchase tickets on-site or use WeChat and Alipay applets for entry. Each train has a maximum capacity of 500 passengers.

Furthermore, the train incorporates various advanced technologies, such as intelligent driving assistance and digital twin technologies.
