Hubei International Trade Group Co (HBIT), the only provincial-level supply chain platform focused on commercial trade, has been continuously innovating its supply chain service model since its establishment in January 2022. According to data, from January to November 2023, the group achieved a cumulative operating income of approximately 35 billion yuan ($4.88 billion).
Its comprehensive digital coal supply chain service platform connects the coal production, transportation, and consumption sectors. It dynamically monitors the coal supply in Hubei and the production capacity of major coal mines nationwide. It even tracks Hubei's weekly, monthly, and annual import volumes of coal from Indonesia, Australia, Russia, South Africa, and Mongolia, ensuring a safe and stable coal supply throughout the province.
The group has also developed specialized supply chain financial service platforms, cross-border e-commerce supply chain service platforms, and comprehensive parallel-import automobile service platforms.
For example, the Jinyu Comprehensive Bonded Zone (CBZ), located in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), is a large-scale corporate platform that integrates import and export trade, warehousing and logistics, processing, and sales.
In addition to importing popular fruits from around the world, the group has also collaborated closely with fruit farmers and packaging factories in Yichang, Suizhou, and Xiaogan to promote the export of high-quality Hubei agricultural products.
As of Dec 27, 2023, the group's import and export value reached 14.03 billion yuan.
