Office buildings' occupancy rate reaches 95%

The occupancy rate of office buildings in Zhongjian Sci-tech Industrial Park in Wuhan New City recently reached 95 percent.

Located on the north side of Gaoxin Avenue, the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), Zhongjian Sci-tech Industrial Park has a total construction area of 1.08 million square meters. It has 200,000 sq m of space for 5A Class-A office buildings, housing the Marriott Hotel, Wuhan Howard Johnson Optics Valley Residence, International Conference Center, commercial streets, and a public sports center.

The office buildings have so far attracted 48 companies and institutions, including six Fortune 500 companies, one unicorn company, five listed companies, and eight commercial banks. It has formed an architectural technology cluster and an industrial service cluster.

"The park's excellent supporting facilities and the industrial development strength of OVC are the main reasons why these companies have moved into the buildings," said Hu Jiao, who is in charge of investment promotion at the park.

Incomplete statistics show that nine high-standard office buildings with a total construction area of approximately 450,000 sq m have been built along Gaoxin Avenue and at the Optics Valley Central City.

The park has established the Zhongjian top innovation platform, established an urban operation industrial innovation and development association, held 14 internal industrial match-making meetings, and organized special roadshows and associated release events in smart operation and construction.
