The East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) will subsidize the compulsory education tuition fees of children of local high-end talent during the 2022-23 school year. The subsidy application is accepted from now on until noon on Aug 4.
In order to be eligible for the subsidy, individuals must fall under the category of high-end talent, which includes State-level experts, provincial or municipal high-end talent, and talents chosen from the "3551 OVC Talent Plan." This excludes those who have been recognized as outstanding youths or OVC industrial professors. Additionally, it is important to note that individuals who apply for the subsidy must be currently employed or running businesses in the valley.
Only immediate offspring of the talent are qualified for the application, and they also have to get enrolled in non-public schools after July 2021.
The government will subsidize 30 percent of children's tuition fees, with the highest subsidy for each child being 30,000 yuan ($4,200).
