Optics Valley Entrepreneurs' Day celebration takes place

A celebration for the first Optics Valley Entrepreneurs' Day was held in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) on Feb 2, which was participated in by a total of 300 prominent entrepreneurs, including Chen Huanchun, Tong Guohua, Zhuang Dan, and Huang Li.
Leaders from Hubei, Wuhan and the Optics Valley of China also attended the event.
A number of ambitious talents have started businesses in OVC over the past 35 years. With the support of multiple social groups, OVC decided to designate Dec 5 as the Optics Valley Entrepreneurs' Day to pay tribute to the hard work of local entrepreneurs and encourage them to strive for excellence.

Sand paintings and video displays were used to tell the inspiring stories of entrepreneurship. In addition, 174 talents were honored as outstanding entrepreneurs, annual contributors, excellent business start-up lecturers and brilliant investors.
Tong Guohua, president of the OVC entrepreneur union, addressed the attendees, while Zhuang Dan, president of YOFC, shared his insights on entrepreneurship, saying that in the next 10 years, YOFC will work with other entrepreneurs in OVC to establish a solid foundation for digital and intelligent manufacturing.
In 2022, the valley reported 120,000 enterprises, with 60 of them having been listed.
