Vickor Medical Technology Co – based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) – recently decided to work with the Electronic Information Complex Engineered Systems Lab research team of Tsinghua University, a leading Chinese university. The two sides will focus on the R&D of heart failure medical facilities.

Vickor Medical, founded in July 2018, is a professional firm specializing in auto surgical staplers and minimally invasive surgery equipment.

The atrial shunt device independently developed by the firm's research team has passed the innovative medical device censorship, making the firm the first in Hubei to have access to the national innovative medical facility green channel.

Shang Xiaoke, founder of the firm, has become an academician of the Academia Europaea (The Academy of Europe), an influential scientific institution consisting of more than 400 academicians. Among them, five are Nobel Prize winners, and another 30 have won other renowned scientific awards.

To date, five products developed by Vickor Medical have entered clinical trials, and four of them are the first of their kinds in China.
