The fourth civil servant and civil service unit commending conference of Central China's Hubei province was held in Wuhan on Sept 16, in which the market regulation bureau of the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) received the honorary title of the provincial excellent civil service unit.

By steadfastly carrying out reforms to delegate powers, streamline working procedures, and optimize government services, the bureau has facilitated the valley's high-quality development. The number of registered market entities in the valley is about to reach 180,000, ranking first in Wuhan.

In addition, the bureau has taken multiple measures to help OVC-based enterprises formulate international and national industrial standards, including Wuhan Raycus Fiber Laser Tech and HGTECH Co.

The bureau has also won other national, provincial and municipal honorary titles in terms of the protection of consumer rights and intellectual property rights.
