Many construction projects in the core area of the East Lake Science City have been completed ahead of schedule, according to a report delivered on March 8 to officials of the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
The report stated that the science city is working full-throttle to push forward 168 specific tasks for this year, and in February, major progress has been seen in the construction of roads, key scientific facilities, and mass industrial projects, including the first phase of the scientific innovation center, the design plan of the supercomputer center, and China's nuclear power innovation R&D center.
Meanwhile, layouts of supporting facilities, such as science communities, science service centers, and neighbor centers, have also been accelerated.
