Spectacular XR Light show to debut in OVC
Tonight a spectacular light show using extended reality (XR) technology will be put on at the ecological corridor of the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), to celebrate the Lantern Festival – a traditional festival that follows the Spring Festival and lies on the 15th day of the first lunar month and involves customs such as lantern appreciation and family reunions.
With the theme "infinitely extending light", the show is scheduled to be unveiled at the Optics Valley Tower and features four types of light shed from the top and the body of the tower. The show will combine XR special effects, enabling viewers to see vivid lantern shapes and DNA double helixes in the air.
