The first seven comprehensive technological innovation platforms in Central China's Hubei province were launched at a provincial conference on Oct 22. Three of these platforms will settle in East lake Science City in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

Targeting artificial intelligence, optoelectronic displays, new medicine, advanced fiber materials, smart transportation, industrial connectivity, and aviation equipment, these platforms will tackle a series of key technologies, cultivate a batch of innovative enterprises and high-end teams, and develop several strategic emerging industrial clusters.

The Hubei AI Comprehensive Technological Innovation Platform will be established in East lake Science City, focusing on low-cost and high-precision micro and nano-processing, advanced electronic materials, chips, and integrated electro-optic devices, along with two other platforms involving the fields of AI and medicine.

Many top international and domestic scientific and research teams are involved in these platforms, including the Turing AI Institute of Nanijng, the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada, The University of Sydney, Deakin University, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
