The East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as Optics Valley of China – located in Wuhan city, capital of Central China's Hubei province – announced an investment push that will be conducted online at a news conference on June 22.

The news conference unveiled an innovation and investment resources map, which will be on the internet – in line with the zone's new drive to improve its business environment and attract fresh high-quality investment.

Employing a WeChat mini program, the map enables potential investors to learn about the zone in detail and conduct research online about investing there.

The investors can find out all the basic information they need to know, as well as economic indicators and the number of resident companies already there.

They can also find out about the zone's technological strength and top-flight workforce through promotional videos, graphic displays and text presentations.

Those interested can also learn about the development of the zone's eight major parks.

The resources map reportedly offers investors information about Optics Valley's wide range of investment resources – including cutting-edge buildings, factories, incubators, technology and educational facilities, tenant companies and industries.

It also offers nearly 30 online inspection routes of the zone's eight major parks.

In addition, investment policies are also introduced to investors, including its incentives to attract investment.

From January to May this year, 43.15 billion yuan ($6.65 billion) of investment was put in place in Optics Valley, of which foreign direct investment totaled $1.24 billion, ranking it first in the city.
