Seven science and technology venues at the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province, were recently designated as the zone's first batch of Party history education bases. Optics Valley Exhibition Center is one of them.
Located in the central area of Optics Valley Software Park, Optics Valley Exhibition Center is a large-scale science and technology exhibition hall that displays the history, industry, major scientific and technological achievements and industrial layout of the zone. It highlights the zone's growth since 1988 and the innovative spirit of the people who work there.
The exhibition area covers around 5,100 square meters and is equipped with a digital three-dimensional sand table system and a projection system.
Long-term displays at the hall include optical fiber preforms from Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company, and nucleic acid extraction and purification instruments from Wuhan Easydiagnosis Biomedicine Co Ltd.
More than 80 companies display more than 400 exhibits at the center, ranging from Optics Valley's development history to its innovative measures.
Hours of operation: noon-2 pm from Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm on Saturday, no service on national statutory holidays
