Seven sci-tech venues in OVC open to public for Party history education
Seven science and technology venues in East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province, were designated as the zone's first batch of Party history education bases.
These venues, representing the forefront of the zone's technological innovation, are open to the public by appointment. They display the zone's innovation and development history and the cutting-edge achievements of Optics Valley's core industries, including lasers, biology and video displays.

1. Optics Valley Exhibition Center
Located on Guanshan Avenue, Optics Valley Exhibition Center is a large-scale science and technology exhibition hall in the zone that went into use in 2013.
More than 80 companies display more than 400 exhibits at the center, ranging from Optics Valley's development history to innovative measures and the impact of reform.
Hours of operation: noon-2 pm from Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm on Saturday, no service on national statutory holidays

2. Optics Valley Biolake Innovation Achievement Exhibition and Trading Hall
Located at the biological innovation park of Biolake, the hall went into use in November 2013 and covers an area of about 1,500 square meters.
It mainly highlights the overall construction and industrial development of the Biolake, displaying its innovation and entrepreneurship achievements. Bio companies use the space to explore the development of the zone's life and health industry cluster.

3. Wuhan Future City Exhibition Center
The center was put into use in 2012 and covers an exhibition area of around 1,000 sq m. It displays Future City's spatial planning, industrial layout and development overview. Talent-gathering efforts, policies and innovative achievements are also displayed.

4. Gehua Group Theme Education Base
The education base was completed at the end of January 2021, with an exhibition area of around 420 sq m. It displays the development history of Gehua Group from 1958 to 2012, the group's industrial transformation after 2012 and its future plans.

5. China Architectural Science and Technology Museum
The country's first architecture-themed science and technology exhibition hall opened in August 2020 with the aim to inherit Chinese architectural culture and promote the development of architectural science and technology.
Hours of operation: 9 am-5 pm from Tuesday to Sunday (no entrance after 4:30 pm), closed every Monday (except statutory holidays and special circumstances)

6. HGTECH Laser Technology Museum
Located at the HGTECH Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, the museum covers an area of around 3,000 sq m and went into trial use in 2019. It is the first laser technology museum in China to focus on laser displays and the research of laser application processes.
It aims to spread laser science knowledge, promote the application of laser technology and help the development of the laser industry. It is an important platform for exchanges and cooperation in laser technology and optoelectronics industries.

7. CSOT Small and Medium-sized Display Exhibition Hall
The exhibition hall covers an area of around 800 sq m and is the only public display in Wuhan of TCL Technology Group's semiconductor and display technology. It showcases project investment and development, innovative small and medium-sized display panel technology products, smart manufacturing plants, corporate culture, honors and more.
