A list of "2020-2021 internet of things (IoT) key technology and platform innovation projects, integrated innovation projects and integrated application projects" was recently announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The list includes 121 projects nationwide.
Three projects from Central China's Hubei province made it onto the list, and all of them are from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as Optics Valley of China.
The three are: a "domestic independent and controllable IoT security, situation awareness and traceability key technology research" project from Wuhan GreeNet Information Service Co Ltd; a "temperature measurement and screening IoT integrated management platform" project from Guide Sensmart; and a "Beidou + smart sanitation integrated supervision cloud platform based on IoT" project from Exsun.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has carried out the solicitation of IoT demonstration projects since 2019, aiming to deepen the integration of IoT and the economy and society and promote industrial integration innovation and scale development.
Six projects from Optics Valley have made it onto the list since 2019.
