To offer thanks for the help that came from all over the country during the novel coronavirus outbreak, the tram operator in Optics Valley of China will offer free trips from Sept 30 to Oct 8, according to local media reports.

The Optics Valley Quantum service has two tramlines -- T1 and T2. Optics Valley -- also known as the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- is located in Wuhan city, capital of Central China's Hubei province.

Wuhan was initially hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, before eventually mounting an extraordinary turnaround.

During the National Day holiday, at the entrance of Optics Valley tram stops, attendants will issue free travel souvenir tickets -- and passengers can board once they have their tickets.

If the passengers need to take the tram again, they can get more tickets at the tram stops; everyone can get as many tickets as they need and the number of rides is unlimited.

The Optical Valley Quantum tram service has a network spanning more than 30 kilometers, connecting the core area of Optics Valley. It is known as the "mobile viewing station".

The tramcars have adopted advanced power supply technology and enjoy higher energy efficiency compared with ordinary tramcars.

Optics Valley warmly invites all friends from all over the country to come to Wuhan and the zone to have a look.
