Deals worth $3.31b signed at OVC EXPO 2018
East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Hubei's provincial capital, signed 15 cooperation agreements worth a total of 23 billion yuan ($3.31 billion) on Nov 14, the first day of the on-going 15th Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition and Forum (OVC EXPO 2018).
The agreements cover areas such as internet, intelligent equipment research and development, and modern service industries.
OVC EXPO 2018 is being held at the China Optics Valley Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov 14 to 16, with more than 400 companies from all over the world displaying their advanced products and technologies in the optoelectronic field.
During the three-day event, a total of 25 forums and activities will be held, including the 2018 "Optics Valley of China" International Forum on Optoelectronic and Information Industry, and the 2018 International Symposium on Laser Advanced Manufacturing, with a focus on areas such as core chip technology, laser advanced manufacturing, advanced materials, and 5G optical communications.
More than 400 world-renowned experts will make keynote speeches during the event, including attendees from the United States, Germany and Japan.
