OVC EXPO 2018 opens in Optics Valley

The 15th Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition and Forum (OVC EXPO 2018) opened at China Optics Valley Convention and Exhibition Center in Wuhan, central China's Hubei province, on Nov 14, and will last until Nov 16.
On the first day, more than 10,000 visitors were attracted to the exposition.
Attendees at the opening ceremony included academics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and guests from Tsinghua Unigroup and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
The event is being jointly hosted by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Intellectual Property Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Hubei Provincial People's Government, and organized by Wuhan municipal government and the administrative committee of Optics Valley.
The expo, initiated in 2002, has developed into one of the largest and most influential optoelectronic events in the country, attracting nearly 5,000 companies from more than 30 countries and regions. Over half a million people are thought to have attended the event since it was initiated.
This year's expo contains six exhibition halls covering an area measuring 20,000 square meters, providing exhibition stands for more than 400 companies from all over the world.
