On Oct 22, senior visiting scholars from the Peking University Dongfang Scholarship Program visited the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Beijing for exchanges. Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee, attended and addressed the exchange event.

He briefed the scholars on China's efforts to advance Chinese modernization and on the system of the CPPCC.

The event was attended by visiting scholars from 54 countries.
