Bater, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with a delegation headed by Bimala Ghimire, vice-chair of the National Assembly of Nepal, in Beijing on Nov 19.

Bater gave a rundown on the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and introduced China's whole-process people's democracy.

The two sides discussed a number of topics, including strengthening cooperation between the CPPCC National Committee and related institutions in Nepal, deepening the China-Nepal strategic cooperative partnership of lasting friendship for development and prosperity, and continuously enhancing the friendship between the two peoples.
